Backup we prove. Every 24 hours.

Backing up is the easy part. What matters is whether it restores. recoverIT tests that: screenshot-verified test restores every 24 hours, plus a quarterly full-restore drill.

What's included

Everything recoverIT includes, itemized.

Restoring from backup is a different operation than running backup, and a backup that's never restored is a backup that probably won't restore. recoverIT separates the two: BCDR with screenshot-verified test restores every 24 hours, plus a quarterly full-restore drill into an isolated environment. Documented, dated, shareable on demand.

✓

Onsite + offsite encrypted

Two copies on different infrastructure, with offsite credentials managed separately so a compromised office can't reach them.

✓

BCDR with screenshot verify

Every 24 hours an automatic boot test proves the backup would actually start — not just that the job ran.

✓

M365 / Workspace protection

Independent backup of Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams with 7-year retention. Microsoft has redundancy, not undo.

✓

Network device config recovery

Firewall, switch, and wireless controller configs backed up on schedule, versioned, and restorable to a specific date.

recoverIT commitments

What you can hold us to.

Five things we do on every account, written down so you can check them.

✓ Backups tested by restoring them, screenshot-verified every 24 hours.
✓ "Successful" means the backup booted, not just that the file exists.
✓ Microsoft 365 backed up separately, because redundancy doesn't undo ransomware.
✓ Restore procedures re-tested quarterly against your current environment.
✓ Retention long enough to recover from ransomware that went unnoticed for weeks.

recoverIT. asked and answered.

How often are backups tested?
Three layers. Every 24 hours, automatic screenshot-verified boot tests confirm not just that the backup exists but that it would actually boot. Quarterly, full restores of selected systems run into an isolated environment, timed and documented. Annually, a ransomware tabletop drill restores from cold offsite — measuring how long it takes and identifying gaps.
What's the RPO and RTO you can actually hit?
Standard RPO is 1 hour for protected systems (continuous backup with 1-hour snapshots). Standard RTO depends on what you're recovering — single file is hours, full server is 4 to 12 hours, full environment is 24 to 48. These are real numbers from our quarterly restore drills, not marketing. We share the test results during onboarding.
What about M365 / Google Workspace? Microsoft says they have redundancy.
Microsoft has redundancy, not undo. If a user accidentally deletes a SharePoint site, or ransomware encrypts files in OneDrive that sync to local, or an attacker mass-deletes calendar items, Microsoft's redundancy doesn't help — the deletion is replicated faithfully. We run independent third-party backup of Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams data with 7-year retention.
What if the BCDR appliance gets compromised in the same incident?
Air-gapped offsite backup runs on different infrastructure than the BCDR appliance, and offsite credentials are separately managed — they can't be pivoted to from a compromised local environment. The annual ransomware tabletop tests this scenario specifically: restore from cold offsite assuming the primary BCDR is locked.
Is backup included in all tiers?
M365 / Workspace cloud backup is included in all three tiers. Full BCDR (onsite + offsite encrypted, screenshot-verified test restores) is included in Remote and Complete. Co-Managed clients can add BCDR à la carte if their internal IT prefers we run that layer.
