wedoIT Ops. · Managed Technology for Shared & Operational Environments

Shared technology deserves a smarter IT model.

Warehouses, manufacturing floors, labs, and shared-computing environments don't fit per-user IT pricing. wedoIT Ops gives you one predictable monthly price to manage the shared computers, network, scanners, printers, and supporting technology your operation depends on. We manage the environment, not the invoice line items.

The problem

Per-user pricing works for offices. It breaks everywhere people share computers.

Warehouses, manufacturing floors, computer labs, training centers, classrooms, hot-desk call centers, retail back offices. A distribution company doesn't have "80 users"; it has 30 people at desks and a floor that a hundred more run in shifts. A training company has 15 employees and 60 lab computers. Per-user pricing doesn't fit, so shared computers end up either billed as if they were people or under-supported.

TRADITIONAL MSP PRICING

Every shared warehouse computer treated as one more full office user, or every scanner and printer as its own line item, or the shared side gets "best effort" and nobody owns it.

wedoIT
One IT partner for the entire business

Two predictable charges. One number to call when shipping stops or the lab won't boot. 24/7 Help Desk Coverage is included, and it covers the whole environment overnight, with no per-device fees.

What's covered

The technology people share, managed like it matters.

Delivered through the same seven wedoIT products your office gets, applied to the equipment many people use and nobody is assigned to. What's below depends on your environment; a lab and a loading dock don't need the same things, and you don't pay for the parts you don't have.

PC

Shared & operational endpoints

Shipping, receiving, and packing stations, warehouse and production-floor PCs, lab and training-room computers, classroom PCs, hot-desk machines, kiosks, timeclocks. Monitored, patched, secured, inventoried, documented.

SCN

Scanners & rugged devices

Barcode scanners, Zebra handhelds, rugged mobile devices, docks, and the peripherals around them.

PRT

Label & thermal printing

Zebra and thermal label printers, shipping-label printers, shared warehouse printers. The thing that stops shipping when it jams.

LAB

Labs, training rooms & classrooms

Standardized workstation images, software deployment, policy management, routine reimaging and reset, shared-device management, lab printers.

NET

Site networking

Firewall, switches, access points, warehouse or lab Wi-Fi, monitoring, and configuration backup, within the agreed environment.

SEC

Security & monitoring

Patching, endpoint protection and EDR, remote management, and 24/7 monitoring, wherever the device supports it.

CAM

Camera systems

The NVR is a shared endpoint: patched, monitored, backed up where sensible. Cameras are supporting devices, not counted toward sizing, on their own segmented network. Remote access behind the firewall and MFA, firmware where the vendor supports it, and the vendor call when it's theirs.

VND

Vendor coordination

You call us. We deal with the WMS or ERP vendor, the ISP, Zebra, the hardware maker, the software vendor. Third-party fees and hardware stay yours; the phone calls become ours.

ON

Onsite & remote support

Normal remote and onsite support for the managed environment: workstations, connectivity, printing, scanning, routine device replacement and configuration.

DOC

Documentation & assets

Every device inventoried and documented, so a replacement, a new shift lead, or a new instructor never starts from zero.

Ops plans · Published, per environment

One environment. One monthly price.

Each plan lists the typical number of shared endpoints it fits, so you can see roughly where you land. The range is the starting point, not a strict device count: we also consider supporting infrastructure, operational complexity, business criticality, and support requirements, and we tell you which plan fits after a short assessment. Routine device replacements and normal changes inside your existing environment don't make us recalculate your bill. There is no separate onboarding charge for an Ops environment.

Worth being clear about

Office users are people. Ops is an environment.

A Complete user needs Microsoft 365 Business Premium, email and Teams, cloud backup, individual security, a helpdesk that knows them, onboarding and offboarding, and their own endpoint looked after. A shared warehouse or lab computer doesn't consume any of that. But it still needs security, monitoring, patching, support, networking, documentation, and lifecycle management. Ops is the model built for exactly that gap. Shared technology shouldn't be priced as if every person had their own workstation, Microsoft 365 environment, and support profile.

  • A shared computer on Ops still gets:
  • Monitoring, RMM, and patch management
  • EDR/MDR and security tooling where supported
  • Remote support and routine troubleshooting
  • Asset management, documentation, OS management
  • Standard application support within the environment
  • What it doesn't get: a personal M365 license, individual onboarding, or a named-user support profile. Those belong to people, on Complete.
A straight answer on industrial equipment

We manage the IT around your machines. Not the machines.

Ops covers the Windows, networking, security, connectivity, and vendor-coordination layers around operational and manufacturing systems. For the equipment itself, we work with your OEM, integrator, or controls specialist, and we say so up front.

WHAT OPS COVERS

  • The network your WMS runs on, and the PCs that talk to it
  • Windows computers attached to machines and production lines
  • Production and warehouse networks, Wi-Fi, firewalls
  • Industrial HMIs and kiosks at the IT/OS layer
  • Coordinating with the equipment vendor when it's their layer
  • Camera NVRs and recording servers, on their own segmented network

WHAT STAYS WITH YOUR SPECIALISTS

  • PLC, CNC, and conveyor-control programming
  • Robotics programming and industrial controls engineering
  • Machine repair, OEM equipment service, machinery firmware
  • WMS or ERP application-level configuration (the vendor's job, we coordinate)
  • Camera installation and cabling, physical camera repair, replacement or mounting, and coverage design
  • Camera application settings: recording schedules, analytics, retention (the camera vendor or integrator's job, we coordinate)

Projects and pricing reviews, plainly: each Ops plan covers your normal, agreed shared and operational environment, and routine device replacement inside it never triggers repricing. Big projects (a new warehouse or lab buildout, a relocation, a WMS or ERP migration, a Wi-Fi redesign, a rollout of dozens of new devices) are scoped separately in writing. We don't move you into a different plan because you added one computer. Pricing is reviewed when your environment materially changes: significant expansion, a new facility, much more infrastructure, or a substantial increase in shared technology. Never because you bought three more scanners.

Ops questions, answered straight.

Do we pay for every warehouse employee, student, or trainee?
No. Ops is built for shared-device environments. A hundred people working three shifts on fifty stations, or sixty students rotating through a lab, is one environment, not a hundred users. Named office employees stay on Complete.
Do you charge for every Zebra scanner or label printer?
No. Normal supporting devices are included within the agreed Ops environment. There is no per-scanner line item. Scanners and printers are the point of the plan, not add-ons to it.
Why isn't Ops priced per device?
Because a shared environment is more than its computers. The scanners, printers, network gear, Wi-Fi, vendors, and operational requirements all matter. We price the environment rather than creating dozens of monthly device charges.
What if we add one more computer?
Nothing happens. We don't move you into another plan because you added one device. Pricing is reviewed when the environment materially changes: significant expansion, a new facility, much more infrastructure, or a substantial increase in shared technology.
How do you decide which Ops plan we need?
Start with your shared endpoint count against the published ranges: Extra Small up to 10, Small 11–25, Medium 26–60, Large 61–100. Then we look at infrastructure, operational complexity, business criticality, locations, and support requirements. The ranges are where the conversation starts, not where it ends.
Do scanners and printers count toward plan size?
They're part of the overall environment we consider, but the primary sizing factor is the number of shared computers and terminals. Scanners, handhelds, printers, access points, and switches are included in the environment, not counted as endpoints.
Can wedoIT support our WMS?
We support the infrastructure, connectivity, endpoints, and vendor coordination around your WMS: the network it runs on, the PCs and scanners that use it, and the call to the vendor when something is theirs. Application-specific configuration stays with the WMS vendor, and we'll be on that call with you.
Can wedoIT support our manufacturing equipment?
wedoIT manages the IT layer surrounding operational technology: the Windows PC bolted to the machine, the production network, the HMI's operating system. Specialized industrial controls, machine programming, and OEM equipment support remain with the appropriate industrial vendor unless separately scoped. We won't pretend otherwise.
Is our camera system covered?
The IT layer is. The NVR or recording server is managed as a shared endpoint: patched, monitored, and backed up where sensible. Cameras are supporting devices, not counted toward plan size. The system runs on its own segmented network, separate from office and warehouse traffic, with remote access locked behind the firewall and MFA, firmware updated where the vendor supports it, and vendor coordination when the issue is theirs. Installation and cabling, physical camera repair, replacement or mounting, coverage design, and application-level configuration (recording schedules, analytics, retention) stay with your camera vendor or integrator.
Is Ops only for warehouses?
No. It's for any environment with significantly more computers than named users: computer labs, training rooms, classrooms, hot-desk call centers, retail back-office terminals, kiosks, as well as warehouses and manufacturing floors. The lab example above is real math.
Does Ops include onsite support?
Yes. Normal remote and onsite support for the managed operational environment is included per your agreement. When the shipping station is down, we come.
Can we use Ops without Complete?
Ops is most commonly paired with Complete, for businesses that have both office users and shared operational technology. We evaluate environments individually; ask, and you'll get a straight answer rather than a policy.
Is our Ops environment supported overnight?
Yes. 24/7 Help Desk Coverage is included on every plan and covers your entire managed environment around the clock, Ops included, with no per-device fee. Nights, weekends and holidays, a service desk technician answers and starts troubleshooting.
Is there an onboarding fee for an Ops environment?
No. There is no separate onboarding charge for an Ops environment. One-time onboarding is sized to the people on your per-user plan and shown in your instant quote; adding Ops, at any size, never changes it.
Are hardware and vendor fees included?
No. Hardware, replacement devices, and third-party vendor or software fees remain yours. What Ops includes is the management, support, security, and every phone call to those vendors.

We manage the environment, not the invoice line items.

Fifteen minutes. Tell us what your environment runs on and we'll size the plan honestly, including whether Extra Small is enough.

And it's guaranteed: if there is ever anything you are not completely happy with, we will do whatever it takes to make it right.
