Microsoft 365 productivity products are currently being used by over a million companies worldwide. Chances are, one of those companies is yours.

And, with the recent name changes, product shuffling, and price increases, chances are you’re a bit confused about the different Microsoft 365 products currently available.

Microsoft 365 (formerly known as Microsoft Office 365) has multiple product groupings (Microft 365 Business, Microsoft 365 Family, Microsoft Home & Student, etc.) that serve various customers (businesses, individual users, families, students, etc.) and offer different combinations of products and features (email, Teams, Word, Excel, etc.).

If we focus just on the plans designed for companies like yours, there are essentially three main choices:

  • Microsoft 365 Business Basic
  • Microsoft 365 Business Standard
  • Microsoft 365 Business Premium

Your business is charged per user per month for each Microsoft Business subscription (annual payment options are available). Basic is the lowest cost tier, the price approximately doubles per user per month for Standard, and goes up again about 80% for Business Premium.

Here’s a chart we put together for you that outlines what you get with each of the three different Business plans:
