As a small business owner, am I afraid of a recession? The short answer is: Absolutely not.
I started my very first business in 2007 and as many of you know that was probably as hard as it has ever been in our lifetime.
Back then I had zero clients and zero revenue. Somehow under those tough conditions I was able to be creative and actually gain traction.
Was it fun all the time? No. Was it very hard? Yes. Do I regret starting a business during a recession? No.
As hard as it was, it was one of the many blessings in my life. I know that if I can start a business during The Great Recession, in easier times I will thrive and that is exactly what happened.
Sure, slowdowns and recessions are not fun. However it does give us the opportunity to grow as an individual and make our businesses stronger.
